Introducing Turning2Sports

My son’s little league was back in action after the pandemic lockdown.  Everyone couldn’t wait to get our kids back on the field practicing, hitting, throwing, and playing. It was such a relief to be a part of a team and to see our kids having fun again.

As he walked up to bat, I noticed his pants were already too short. Three games in, and his new baseball pants were too small.  In that moment I realized a few things: 1) my kid must grow an inch a week; 2) it’s frustrating to need new pants when these were still game ready; 3) and how lucky we were that we could afford new baseball pants, cleats, the uniform, fan gear, the entry fee for this little league season, and more.  In that moment Turning2Sports was born.

In baseball, turning two is an impactful play.  Turning two gets two outs on a single play.  Parents need opportunities to turn two.  Turning2 Sports provides the place – an easy to navigate and use marketplace where parents can recoup equipment costs while also finding the right sports gear at reasonable prices. Our goal – turning two.

Turning2Sports helps to alleviate the financial burden felt by parents by providing a marketplace to consign children’s used sporting gear (or in some cases never worn!) and at the same time find the next perfect bat, glove, sliding shorts, cleats, and more! We take the guesswork out of pricing. We handle the transaction, the shipping, the hassle associated with selling online. We curate reasonably priced equipment that is still game ready. We want to give every young player a chance to bat…or kick, putt, dismount, and more.

Turning2Sports is an online space where sellers can find value for their secondhand items, help to keep sports equipment out of landfills and on the sports fields, and provide parents access to affordable, gently used sports equipment.
